I could possibly give this a 4 star, but that would be a stretch for me. I read this book because my good friend recommended it. She said that she had read the 1st chapter and thought, "I don't want to read this book", but had kept reading and ended up loving it. I do agree that you have to read at least 50 pages to really get into it. And you might as well skip the first 2 chapters initially anyway. They won't make a bit of sense until you finish the book. Then you can go back and read them and understand them somewhat. So anyway, about the book. It's written and set back in the 1930's. A very young, inexperienced girl meets and older wealthy man, marries him and returns to his huge,somewhat famous home with him. There, she finds the constant reminder of his 1st wife, Rebecca. The head housekeeper loved Rebecca, and seems from the start, determined to sabotage this girl's marriage to her husband. All the neighbors and towns people also loved Rebecca and raved about the parties she would throw, and how accomplished and wonderful she was. As time passes though, this girl (I'm not sure the author even gave her a name) discovers that there might be more to Rebecca and her relationships than meets the eye. It's a mystery she must solve, if she can man up long enough to do it. She's such a simp for the majority of the book, which was one reason I didn't love it. Anyway, even though I didn't LOVE this book, I did enjoy reading it, and would recommend it. It's an interesting read and I would love to hear other people's thoughts on it. I see that my other 2 Goodreads friends who read it rated it, but didn't comment. You know who you are - Ginger and Molly!!

"İhale, dokunaklı ve dokunaklı" bu hikayeyi iyi anlatıyor ve yazarın verdiği ipuçlarını kaçırmazsanız, sürpriz bir son yok. Birden fazla hikaye satırları iyi yapıldı ve hızlı, eğlenceli bir okuma oldu.

Terörle mücadele önlemlerinin topluma etkileri hakkında iyi yazılmış ve bilgilendirici bir hikaye. Kitabın genç yetişkinler için tasarlandığını bulmak için okumaya başlamadan hemen önce biraz endişelendim ama bu yaşlı yetişkin gerçekten çok hoşuna gitti. Onyedi olmanın nasıl bir şey olduğunu hatırlayabiliyorum ve yazar da açıkça hatırlıyor.
