Fifteen year old Tom and his mother move from London to rural Norfolk following an accident that killed his father. He has to adjust to a different way of life in this coming of age drama. It's a gently told tale which is easy to read and very enjoyable.

A cute story and a fast read! I got it in a sack of books passed on by my niece. The first one I picked up and read. I love that the author made it funny and also added interest in it with the lives of the characters.

It's hard to rate a collection of essays- some were engaging and entertaining, some I skipped through. Since I've always been a Barbara Kingsolver fan, I enjoyed learning about the behind-the-scenes (behind-the-chapters?) life of an authoress. But if I'm picking up a book it's because I'm seeking a good story. I can read blogs if I want essays.
