A very honest portrayal of the life, love, and angst of a teenage girl. The art isn't exactly great but it works. And the characters can be a bit annoying. the plotline of two close friends growing apart and of one of them falling in love is a bit derivative of Ghost World, but it does have its own twists and it works overall.
I borrowed this along with several other years' volumes and was greatly disappointed in them all.
This book made me laugh out loud and cry off and on toward the end. I never saw these emotional ups and downs coming and it was a wild ride. Everything I thought would happen never did and all the things I thought would never happen did. I spent the first part of this book wondering where in the name of JC this book was going. And then Quick pulled the rug out from under me and I went into shock. Sorta Like a Rock Star was an unexpected gem with more depth than the first half can portray.
