Vaov! Jen over at reandingrants.com, bu kitabın harika ve eksiksiz (hiçbir şey vermeden) incelemesini yazdı.
Fantastic! This book had everything; romance, intrigue, history, mystery, suspense. At times it broke your heart, and at others it warmed your soul. It kept me guessing until the very end, and I never wanted to put it down; never wanted it to end! The story was fascinating, the characters were easy to sympathize with and relate to. It was the kind of book where you were really sad that they aren't people you know in real life. The kind of book that makes you mourn when it ends, and long for more. I absolutely loved it! I would read it again and again!
This book is a memoir by a guy diagnosed with Asperger's as an adult. First third is interesting and then I got tired of the self centered, thoughtless adventures. Skipped to nearer the end where he talked about his current life, married with a kid. The disturbing thing is that there's currently a murder case in MN where a guy (undiagnosed but defense using asperger's as part of explanation) lured a young woman to his home via Craig's list and then murdered her. The parallels in behavior and thought or lack of thought between the memoir guy and the newspaper account of the accused murderer are disturbing..... Interesting book. His brother is the guy who wrote RUNNING WITH SCISSORS. I think that's also a memoir.
This is an awesome book. If you like satire, pick it up. I haven't seen the movie because I can't imagine it is better than the book. Are they ever?
Inspector Rebus Novel #6 From cover: "It is August in Edinburgh and the Festival is in full swing. A brutally tortured body is discovered in one of the city's ancient subterranean streets and marks on the corpse cause Rebus to suspect the involvement of sectarian activists. The prospect of a terrorist atrocity in a city heaving with tourists is almost unthinkable. And when the victim turns out to be the son of a notorious gangster Rebus realizes he is sitting atop a volcano of mayhem about to erupt."
