Sevdim! Beni bazı Jane Austen havasına sokuyor - bence çok şirin bir film olacak!
My comment after closing the last page is: is that all? A friend reminded me thatPersuasion is gonna be flat, yet I didn’t expect that it would be that flat o_O. Of course, I didn’t expect for some quarelling scenes like in Indonesian soap operas, yet I wanted something that could hook me up emotionally. I honestly think that the basic idea is interesting, about meeting someone that you love but you once refused. However, the execution doesn’t really grip me. Anne Elliot is, sorry to say, dull. In a wrestling match, Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice could beat hear easily five times in a row. Captain Wenthworth could be as dashing as Mr. Darcy if only he was more active. I must say that Persuasion fails to enchant me. And now I must pray that my fellow Goodreads who are Austens’ fans won’t chase me with knives after reading this review T____T. Peace out!
Very enjoyable.
I was a bit disappointed with Little Bee. It starts out as an extremely interesting story and although it was a bit bothersome to not know the tragedy that happened between Little Bee and Sarah until about a hundred pages in, it still pulled me in. Then, once the story is finally told, after all the build up, it doesn't seem like such a big deal. I think the book could have done without switching to Sarah's perspective; she seems to steal the story and make it more dull, whereas Bee's perspective is intriguing and makes you yearn for more. That being said, it was still an incredible story.
