This book was almost *just ok* for me. The story had a lot of potential, old witch hunter ghost, Kramer, looking to prey on his victims and take physical form on All Hollows Eve. I loved the play on Halloween in the story and a new character we meet, Tyler. I can almost say thank God for Tyler because he was my favorite part of this story. He's a gay medium and he has a thing for Bones and some of the funniest lines in this book. They enlist the help of one of the women Kramer has killed who is now a ghost to end him, Elizabeth. The ghostly romance that develops between her and Fabian was so sweet! I want to see more of them too. Here's my main complaint: NO VLAD! How can that be? I had Vlad withdrawals!!!! OK maybe this is not my only complaint with this book but its a big one. A lot of times I look forward to reading about him, counting on him to get the action going, the banter flowing, and when he's not there, well, it's a bit flat. Cat & Bones relationship felt a bit more connected in this book, but Cat was not all too interesting. She's still unsure about her powers. And I didn't think she was as kick-ass as in her previous books. I am looking forward to reading the next book and of course reading Vlad's new series.
