An interesting, pretty easy/fast read. My first Nick Hornby novel. I'm not sure if I enjoyed it particularly, but it's not horrible. PS There were many bands I'd never heard of and cultural references I didn't understand. Just have your computer nearby while reading so you can look up Opal Fruits.
I had this cover, and same author but in English and not in paperback. Who wouldn't love the Little Prince? Who wouldn't want to have their own planet and to find their Rose and their tamed Fox? And I never did look at a hat the same way after.
I read this book in one day. It is written in letter format and I wasn't sure it would be readable. I absolutely loved it and thought the letter format actually enhanced the story. It is a wonderful read!!!
I just picked this because it's all-inclusive, but really there are five in the Hitchhiker's series. And they're all great. Like, laugh so hard you spit out your soup which is why you shouldn't eat and read these books in the first place funny.
an excellent book on the Yaak Valley and the wildnerness that it encompasses...the author relates his interaction with the valley itself, and the wild animals he encounters there...he also relates his struggle to keep the valley free from destruction by big logging corporations...
This book had a sort of Cinderella and Ever After feel to it. I, personally, really enjoyed reading it because it was a feel good, romantic kind of book. A hidden princess, the evil step father, a dashing young prince and a happily ever after ending. My teenage daughter is going to LOVE it. :)
