And with this, the Malcolm Gladwell cannon is complete. I have read all of his books so far. While Blink isn't my favorite MG book, it was still a fascinating read and made me think a lot. I would say the chapter about police shooting unarmed people because of temporary autism is especially relevant today. I like how MG played both sides of the question by showing how these split second decisions can be both friend and enemy. I'm sure we'll see more research in the coming years of how we are directed by the subconscious mind.

I was debating whether to give this book three stars or four. I guess it was somewhere in the middle for me. (Must be 3.14 hahaha) I had heard a lot of reviews about how weird it was, and there were definitely weird parts (which is why I ended up giving it three stars), but most of it I thought was HILARIOUS. And without some of the descriptions of bodily functions and animal hunting, it would have gotten a four from me for all the very thought-provoking questions Pi raises. He tells the story with such childlike bluntness that it reminds you of the pure stripped-down truths about life. Not my favorite book ever, but I did like it a lot, and I'm sure there are even more thoughtful things that I didn't catch with the first read.
