This book takes you to part 2 of Lisbeth Salanders life. We get to know her more than in the first book. Her behaviors and attitudes become understood and you find yourself emtoionally connecting with her. Fantastic follow up to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Finally! A vampire book that isn't told from a swooning teenage girl's point of view. This is more of a traditional vampire story, told from the point of view of a young soldier who serves in WWI and witnesses horrible atrocities. At first he thinks he's just imagining things, and then he discovers that his captain really is a vampire--who has designs on his younger sister.
The book definitely had this fun-loving moments about it and while I may have not connected with the story as well as I wanted, but I did appreciate its quirk and uniqueness . . . Full review: http://talesoftheinnerbookfanatic.blo...
